What's on in June?

It’s well and truly time to grab your cosiest woollies and snuggle up by the heater – winter has officially begun and along with a brand-new season, we have some treats in store for you!

New Product Alert – GF Steel Cut Oats

Get ready, because we’re super close to launching our brand-new GF Steel Cut Oats! This delicious alternative to a traditionally steamed and rolled oat is left in its natural shape and has a firmer mouthfeel – it has all the flavour, but if you’ve never tried steel cut before, be prepared for a brand-new texture!

We have two varieties available: Traditional GF Steel Cut Oats, and Organic GF Steel Cut Oats. Try them today - we know you'll love it!

This Month’s Blog – Are Australian Oats Gluten-Free?

As I’m sure everyone has noticed by now, the shelves in the supermarket aren’t exactly overflowing with oat products labelled as gluten-free. There’s a two-part reason to that – the first being Australia’s tricky labelling laws, and the second being a misleading interpretation of a study from the early 2000s – and therefore Australian-grown gluten-free oats have never before been sold in Australia – but that’s all about to change!

We are bursting with pride to tell you all about our new line of Australian-grown gluten-friendly oats (remember we’re not legally able to call them gluten-free, but you’ll be able to see our nil gluten test results on our compliance page when the product has launched), and we’re also proud as punch to support Aussie growers, rather than rely on purely imported goods. It’s so important to support Australian industries, and agriculture needs support now more than ever, so remember to always #buyaussiemade.

This Month’s Recipe - Apple and Walnut Baked Oatmeal

Want a healthy, vegan, sugar-free way to enjoy a warm winter breakfast? This cosy baked oatmeal is for you. Top it with greek yoghurt and fresh berries for a tasty way to start the day (and why not try our bircher jars for those breakfasts on the run?) or serve warm with a dollop of ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup for a rich dessert that's good enough for guilt-free seconds.

Here's to a wonderful June! We're coming up to the halfway point of 2021, so let's make it a good one!
